But if God loves us so much, why would he have evil angels working for him? To send them out to us to test our strength of character?

First of all, God’s word says in James 4: 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Okay, he says, Resist the Devil.  How can you resist the devil if he doesn’t ever have access to you. You can’t. So…Satan will have to have access to every one of us, in order for us to have a choice to resist him. The question is…will we resist him, or give into him, his desires, and/or ways?  Let’s take a look at Jesus being tempted by Satan.

Luke 4:5-13
5. And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

((Note: The Devil said that, “All this power will I give thee,” meaning all the power within the kingdoms of the world, whether it’s: control of certain organizations, high positions, money, material things. This is what he’s offering. Let’s continue and find out what Jesus would have to do to obtain what he’s offering.))

7. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

((Satan told Jesus, “If you will worship me, all shall be yours.” Jesus replied, “Get behind me, Satan, for it’s written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Jesus was basically saying, “Thou shalt worship and serve the Lord God the Father.” If Jesus didn’t resist Satan, who then would have become his God and Father? Satan would have. Let’s take a look at Jesus conversing about Satan with the Pharisees, whom we would call today in our modern time, Pastors.

John 8:40-44
40. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

((Okay, Jesus says unto the Pharisees, ye seek to kill me. Let’s continue.))

41. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

((Jesus was basically saying, that, they didn’t love him, because they were trying to kill him, and if God the Father was there Father, they wouldn’t be trying to kill him. Let’s continue.))

43. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

((They still didn’t understand, because they didn’t have an ear for the truth, and sought to kill Jesus. Jesus is gonna tell them about themselves.))

44. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

((These Pharisees lusted to kill or murder Jesus, a man who have told them the truth. They didn’t desire to accept the whole truth. Then later on, some Pharisees and chief priest sought how they could kill Jesus by subtlety, false witnesses and lies, ref. John 18:3, Matthew 26: 3-4, 59-66. Judas betrayed Jesus by covenanting(lusting) after money in exchange for Jesus, ref. Matthew 26: 15-16. When people commit such acts as these, they began to worship Satan as there Father and God. If Jesus would not have resisted Satan, he too would have become a worshiper of Satan as his God and Father. If anyone obtain anything: materials, power, positions, ect. by unrighteousness and sin, their worshiping Satan. These next scriptures explains a little on what we become, once accepting the truth, and changing ourselves, and our ways unto righteousness.

Ephesians 4: 24-27
24. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

((We become new men and new women, putting away the old man and old woman, walking in righteousness and true holiness, speaking truth, and not lying. Let’s continue.))

26. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27. Neither give place to the devil.

((We are to strive not to sin, although we sometimes have a reason to be angry. Our goal is to not give place to the devil. He’s lurking, he not only work alone, he use men and women that have already given themselves unto him to discourage and encourage you to sin. Let’s take a look at Satan and them other evil angels which where cast out of heaven unto the earth.))

Revelation 12:9
9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

((Satan and those other evil angels was cast out unto the earth, and they have been at work deceiving the whole world, and have accomplished. A few of us have decided to shed ourselves from the deception of Satan. Like I said before, he have deceived many, and he uses those who want to remain deceive to put work in for him. Let’s look at this.

1 John 3:7-8
7. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

((Note: Let no man deceive you, if any come telling you, God say this, God say that, make them show it to you. If they can’t show you within the bible, and you haven’t read it before, you could very well be in the process of being deceived. Let’s continue.))

8. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

((He that commit sin is of the devil. Who’s the Father of deception? Satan. Those that commit deception(sin) is of the devil. They work for him. How long will they work for him? However long they deceive. We have to keep in mind that Satan work through individuals(people). Satan and the other evil angels are invisible, ref Jude 1:6. They sometimes, run evil thoughts by our mind, when we’re not even thinking of evil, yet we’re most likely to be deceived by them using people(family members, associates, friends, or foes). It don’t matter to him, whoever is willing to put in work for him. Let’s continue with Jesus being tempted by Satan.

9. And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10. For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11. And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Note: Satan knows the benefits of the servants of God, he know that the Lord God the Father encamped around about them that fear him with his angels, ref. Psalm 34: 7. Let’s continue.

12. And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

((No, we shouldn’t tempt the Lord. Here’s another example: All of a sudden a person wants to decide to get a gun, a revolver, and only put one bullet in it and then spin it, then put it to their head, and pull the trigger. Wait, before they pull the trigger, they say to God, “If you love me God, you will not allow me to get shot with this gun when I pull the trigger.” This is a prime example of tempting the Lord. That’s a foolish move. If that person pull the trigger, and kill themselves, God don’t have nothing to do with that. That person was fully responsible for it. That person premeditated, and created that situation, that didn’t have to be. Let’s continue.))

13. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Note: For a season, not forever, for awhile, and he’s coming back to check you out. God don’t tempt us, we tempt ourselves. Many of us have put ourselves in positions that we can’t handle. We also sometime deceive ourselves, saying that “I’m strong enough to say no or refuse certain choices,” knowing that we’re weak in certain areas. Then when we’re in the midst of our weaknesses, we give into them, most of the time. For some people, it’s all the time, because it’s really what they want to do. Sometimes we can find ourselves in a situation where we haven’t done anything wrong for evil angels to do things to afflict us. Satan sometimes makes request unto God, to afflict people, and Satan is granted access unto us, yet with restrictions, he can only go so far. For instance, Job. I’m gonna deal with his story next, but let’s continue this.

James 1:13-15
13. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Let’s take a look at Job’s Journey

Job 2: 1-10
1. Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.

((Although Satan presented himself before the Lord, he was not amongst the sons of God(Holy Angels) because he was disinherited when God kicked him out of heaven unto the earth because iniquity(sin) was found in him. Let’s continue.))

2. And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

((Satan says to the Lord that, “He was going to and from in the earth, and walking up and down in it.” For what though? Why? Let’s take a look.

1 Peter 5:8
8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

((Okay, Satan is walking around seeking whom he may devour. Basically saying, who is open game, who can I try, who can I get to do what I want them to do. Let’s continue back with the story of Job.

3. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

((Okay, the Lord notice that Satan wanted to try/tempt his servant Job. Did you notice that Satan have a desire to break those who are rare, walking perfect and upright, and those that fear God, and disregard evil. Those who don’t fear God, and do evil are easy prey. God told Satan that, “thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.” Some might ask, “If Satan does evil, why would God say that Satan’s moving him against him, to destroy him without cause? Your answer: God allows and control what evil is done, Satan is a weapon and tool God uses when he allows or wants punishment to be done, or evil to be done unto people. People don’t necessarily have to have done something bad to be roughed up by God, yet he allows evil angels to do it. Job’s situation is good example. Let’s continue.))

4. And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

((Satan knew Job had some strength, yet he wanted to see if he could break him. Will Job give it all up, for his life, eternal life that is? Will he give up everything he have, even his own life, without turning from God? Let’s see.

5. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

((Note: Satan asked God to put forth his hand on Job and touch his bone and flesh, and he’ll curse him to his face. Basically Satan was saying to God, “If you make him feel pain, bring a sickness on him, and do his body harm, he’ll curse you to your face, and turn from serving you.” Let’s see how God responded.

6. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

((Okay, the Lord gave Satan permission to harm his body, make him feel pain. Note: The Lord didn’t give him permission to kill him, but said unto him, “save his life.” Let’s continue and see how Satan afflicted Job.))

7. So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
8. And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
9. Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

((On your own time, read Job chpt. 1. In that chapter, Satan was giving permission to destroy and kill Jobs livestock, servants, even all his children. Note: this is later on that God gave Satan permission to harm Jobs body. Whether his wife was angry or not, she even gave into Satan, because she said exactly what Satan said to God in verse 5. “he will curse thee to your face.” She encourage her husband to curse God and die. Let’s continue.

10. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

((Job understood that, only a foolish woman would say that. He didn’t call her a foolish woman, he said she speakest as a foolish woman. At that very moment, Satan had her, and used her to try to get her husband to not have faith in God, even turn from God because of trouble they were experiencing. Job also mentioned to her that, “shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” After all this job didn’t sin with his lips. He didn’t get angry with God, he humbled himself, because he knew who had control over everything that happens unto mankind. He held his peace, and refuse to open his mouth foolishly, in anger, saying things he ought not, sinning with his lips. He understood this. Let’s take a look.

Amos 3:1, 6
1. Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
6. Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

((No, there shall not be any evil, in any city, and the Lord hath not done it. The Lord God controls, bring forth, allow, and wills every evil act brought unto mankind. Nothings done without his permission.

Let’s take a look at King Saul

1Samuel 15: 1-3, 7-9, 11, 13-16, 18-19, 21-24
1. Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
2. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
3. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

((Okay, he commanded him to destroy everything of the Amalekites, spare nothing alive. I’m gonna skipped down to verse 7.))

7. And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.
8. And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
9. But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

((God said destroy and kill everything, yet he spared Agag, the Amalekites King, and kept the best of sheep, oxen, fatlings, and lambs. Let’s continue and read how the Lord felt about King Saul’s actions.))

11. It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

((The Lord was upset with Saul. The Lord said unto Samuel that Saul, “turned,” I repeat, “turned,” back from following him, and hath not performed his commandments. Samuel was grieving because of Saul’s disobedience. Let’s continue.))

13. And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.

((This cat(Saul), feeling all good, talking, “Bless be the Lord, I performed the commandment of the Lord.” Are you serious. This is wild. Let’s continue.))

14. And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?

((Samuel is like, “Hold on man.., what’s all this noise in my ears, sheeps- ba-ae-en…, whining, and crying, and oxen lowering. Let’s look again at Saul replying.))

15. And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.

((Saul was thinking of the Lord, when he saved the best of the sheep and oxen that they spared not to destroy. Saul, in his own mind was thinking of sacrificing those good animals unto the Lord. Saul had good intentions. Let’s continue.))

16. Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.

((Samuel was visited by the Lord about this situation, expressing how he felt and what to tell Saul concerning this matter. Let’s continue.))

18. And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.
19. Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?

((Samuel just reminded Saul what he done. Saul sought to do good, yet in the process, he didn’t obey the voice of the Lord, but did evil. Let’s continue and look at Saul responding again.)

21. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.

((There he go again, saying, “we took the spoil to sacrifice unto God, but they should have been destroyed.” The question at hand is, “Did God command you to take the best flocks to sacrifice unto him?” No he did not. Let’s continue.))

22. And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

((You know what Saul did? He leaned unto his own understanding and ways, ref. Proverbs 3:5. Let’s continue.))

23. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

((Saul got so.. far out of pocket, God rejected him from being King. It’s going on now, mankind in his own mind, think, I repeat, think he got time. Yeah, right. We don’t know where the line is drawn. It’s a good thing, if you understand the reason why it’s like that. Check and balance. Constantly checking and examining yourself, making sure your balanced. The reason is, so you want get to relaxed in your sinful ways, and get cut off. This is how serious rebellion is. Rebellion is neck and neck with witchcraft, stubbornness is equally as bad as Idolatry(bowing down before images, and false gods). Sin is sin. In God’s eyes, there is not a little sin or big sin, all of it is equal weight. You know, somebody has come up with this saying, “a white lie,” yeah right, What?, it’s supposed to be some kind of purity in it. Yeah…give me a break, aint nothing pure in this flesh, neither in our own thoughts. Let’s continue.))

24. And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

((This is the kicker. Saul confessed that he transgressed(broke) the commandment of the Lord, because he feared the people, and obeyed their voice. I tell you this. All of us like comfort. All of us to some degree want to be loved, or liked. We can even find ourselves seeking to be liked by the wrong group or people, even compromising the truth, just to be liked and accepted by others. It’s written that we’re supposed to fear God, seeking his acceptance, not mankind. Mankind in general is gonna do what he want to, whether it’s good or evil. I ask you, “What are you gonna do?” Millions, if not billions, seek to find people to join or agree with them in truth before they themselves seek to change. You know, people in their own mind, thinking, if their close friends, family, or associates don’t believe this or that is right, even things that are actually right, I’m not changing, or departing in truth until at least one or more agree with me. Note: When God start to judge, even at judgement day, your gonna stand in line by yourself, not hand in hand with none of your family, friends, or associates. I encourage you to stand in truth and on truth, even if you have to stand alone. Okay, let’s continue. These next scriptures are speaking of God anointing David to be King, after rejecting Saul, and how Saul’s rejection affected his relationship with God. Let’s take a look.
1Samuel 16:13-15
13. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

((What spirit came upon David from that day forward? Let’s find out.))

14. But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

((Whoa…the Holy Spirt(Holy Angel) departed from Saul, and went unto David, yet an evil spirit(Evil Angel) from the Lord was sent unto Saul to troubled him. Sisters and Brothers, this is serious. We can get to the point where, God will get tired of us and he will remove his hedges from us, which are his holy angels, and send an evil spirit upon us. Be careful to maintain good works(ref. Titus 3:8). If we get caught out there and cross the line, he’ll do us the same way. Let’s continue.

15. And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

((Even Saul’s servants notice it. This is the real deal. Now, let’s look at Saul seeking after God for direction.))

1Samuel 28:3-17
3. Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.

((Okay, Samuel has died, and Saul sought and put away those who practiced evil abominable acts out of the land, those who had familiar spirits and the wizards. Let’s continue.))

4. And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa.

((The Philistines are gathered together to fight against Israel. Let’s continue.))

5. And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.
6. And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

((King Saul enquired(asked) of the Lord about how he should handle this situation, yet the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. This is what happens when people continuously reject the commandments of God, seeking after their own will. God will start to back up from you, even to the point where he will not hear you at all, leaving you by yourself, without his protection and direction. Let’s continue and see what Saul did next.))

7. Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

((Saul just kicked out the people who deal with familiar spirits. These are people who say that they can talk to the dead. Saul has gotten so…anxious, to point where he’s now committing an abomination by seeking to talk to the dead by one of these people. Let’s see who he’s seeking to call up from the dead.

8. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.
9. And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?

((Presently, this woman didn’t know this was Saul, he disguised himself.))

10. And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.

((Who is Saul to say, no punishment will happen to her. God has rejected him, he’s not even connected to God, he don’t know what God will do to her.))

11. Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.

((O…Saul is seeking direction and instructions from Samuel. Samuel is dead. Let’s continue.))

12. And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
13. And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.

((It’s only two in the Godhead, and those two are in heaven, not in the earth. Also, it’s written in John 1:18, that no man has seen the Father, only Jesus. She seen something else. Let’s continue.))

14. And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.

((Note: Paul perceived that it was Samuel, yet it’s written that the dead know nothing, neither do they have a memory of anything. Let’s take a look, real quick.

Ecclesiastes 9: 5-6
5. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

((If the dead knows nothing, and their memory is forgotten, therefore, love, hatred, and envy don’t have a place to dwell, and they can’t operate in anyway for ever in anything that is done under sun, how is it that, then, Samuel can be talking to anyone, about anything? He can’t. Note: They both, that woman, and Saul are not talking to Samuel. Let’s continue.))

15. And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

((These two: Saul and the woman are dealing with an familiar spirit(An evil angel). This evil angel appeared to him, with the same words that Samuel would say, if he was living. Check it out.

16. Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?

((This evil angel speaking in the name of Samuel, repeated in his ears saying, “that the Lord has departed from you Saul and has become thine enemy.” Let’s continue and see what else.))

17. And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David:

((The Lord took the Kingdom from him, and had given it unto David. Saul died later on. Let’s look at why he died.))

1 Chronicles 10:13-14
13. So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;
14. And enquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.

Peace and Love
