How many years is one day with the Lord Jesus?

First, let’s take a look at Apostle Peter speak on this matter.

2 Peter 3:8
8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

((One day with God is 1,000 years. Let’s look at what God told Adam in the beginning.))

Genesis 2:16-17
16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

((God told Adam that, if he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that in that day that he eat thereof, he shall surely die. Adam ate of that tree, and he died. Let’s see if Adam lived past 1 day(1,000yrs).

Genesis 5:5
5. And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

((Adam lived 930 years. He didn’t live a full day, according to what a day consist of unto God (1,000yrs).

Let us now take a look at the oldest man that we have proof of according to the bible.

Genesis 5:27
27. And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

((He didn’t even live a 1,000 years, only 969 years. No one can go beyond what God has appointed unto mankind. Let’s take a look at Apostle Paul speak on this matter.))

Acts 17:24-26
24. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25. Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26. And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; )

((God determined our bounds of our habitation(existence in this flesh) before the first man Adam was created. Also, the Lord God spoke by the mouth of David as well. Let’s take a look.))

Psalm 90:4
4. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

((Yesterday unto us is as one day in man’s day(24hrs), yet unto God, 1,000 years is as yesterday.))
