In the garden of Eden in the beginning, what type of fruit did Adam and Eve eat?

Yeah….I’m sure they ate some herbs, but every herb, I don’t know.  As far as the fruit of the trees in the garden, there’s a particular forbidden fruit they ate.  Was it an apple?  Let’s take a look.

Genesis 2:16-17
16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

((Okay, God has warned and commanded Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, because, if so, he shalt surely die. Let’s continue and look at Eve conversing with the Serpent(Satan).

Genesis 3:3-6
3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

((Here, we see that Eve was informed of the effect of eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. She knew she’d die if she ate of it. Let’s look at the serpents response.))

4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

(((This is the first lie that’s ever been told to man. Satan is the serpent. He continues.)))

5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

They believed a lie, which was mixed up with some truth. First, Satan told a lie, then immediately he told the truth, Eve was so caught up on being wise and being as Gods, knowing good and evil, she ate it all up. The good and evil, or you can say, the words of life and death. The truth that was told was, that they shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil. The lie that was told was, that they shall not die. She ate both, and then she gave it to Adam, and he believed and went along with it. From that point on.. we’ve been sentenced to the 1st death. God commanded them not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which is Satan. They did not eat a literal fruit, such as an apple, or any other. They ate or consumed his words, which were words of deceit. Let’s take a look at what happen.

Hosea 10:13
13. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

Most of us have heard the term: Food for thought: basically food or words for the mind. We not only consume by the mouth, but by seeing and hearing.
Until again
