Is is wrong to hold a grudge against people?

Let’s take a look.

James 5:9 (King James Version)
9. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

This scripture is related to this commandment.

Leviticus 19:18
18. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

((Sometimes we might find ourselves not forgiving those who’ve trespass against us, therefore a grudge can occur in our mind; and affect our strength, growth, even our closeness with God. I’m not saying we have to remain in that situation that the trespasser has created. We have to judge that situation carefully: for instance do I have to be here, do I have to deal with this, can we come to a common ground or understanding, can we have peace, is it possible for us to remain friends- maybe we should just not hangout for a while, so the fog can clear, we could gather our thoughts, settle down and come back together at an appointed time with some solutions, if we’re planning to stick it out. Dealing with a situation like this can be easier when it’s just a friend or associate, than being married. When it’s a friend or associate, if it’s that bad, you can just not be friends or associate anymore, but when it’s a married, it’s different. In the sight of God, a married is until the end, until death do us part. The world at large is getting divorced or separated with no means of coming back together for non-sense reasons, that’s adultery. When a person has sincerely forgave someone, there is no grudge, yet most of the time there is caution, but no grudge, we must still use discretion. We must forgive, in order to be forgiven, if that person ask for forgiveness. It’s written.

Matthew 6:14-15 (King James Version)
14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

((If we maintain a grudge, yes we can be condemned by Jesus.))

John 5:24
24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Note: If he or she heareth Jesus word, and believeth the Father that sent him have everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death, meaning- spiritual death(the second death, which is the lake of fire ref. Revelation 20: 14), if Jesus don’t come back soon enough, most of us are gonna experience the first death(graveyard). Passing from death(second death) unto life(eternal life). It’s not good to pout and be rebellious towards the Lord and his word. He wants to save you from the second death, he chasten those he love, if you receive his correction, you will remain his son or daughter. Let’s take a look at it.

1 Corinthians 11:32
32. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

God judge us now by chastened(correcting) us, to get us in shape, so that we will respect him and do right, so that we’re righteous in his eyes before judgment, so that we’re not condemned with this world.

John 5:22
22. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

When the world get condemned at Judgment Day, they’re going to the Lake of Fire. This is what we should keep in mind at all times.

Romans 12:18-20 (King James Version)
18. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

((We must be an example and show the world what real love is, real love is this:

1 John 5:2-3 (King James Version)
2. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Once we acknowledge these 10 Commandments(Exodus 20:1-17), everything else will fall in place.
