Is the dietary law still in effect?

If so, what can I eat and what am I not supposed to eat? How does the Lord feel about people who disregard the Dietary Law, if we’re suppose to honour it?

Let us let the Bible speak for itself.

KJV Revelation 21:7-8
7. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

((Note: The Lord said in verse 8, that the unbelieving and the abominable people shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone. The Lord also shows us how people become abominable. Let’s take a look.))

KJV Leviticus 11:1-2
1. And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
2. Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

The most common unclean beasts eating upon the earth are these:

KJV Leviticus 11:7-8
7. And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
8. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

(God says swine (pork) is unclean to us, yet mankind has deemed it okay to eat.)

KJV Leviticus 11:9-12
9. These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10. And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11. They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12. Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

(Here are some animals that God says are unclean, but mankind has deemed okay to eat that live in the waters, and they are: Catfish (they have fins but no scales), Shrimp, lobster, crab, oyster, and clam (they have neither fins or scales). Let’s continue.

KJV Leviticus 11:27
27. And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.

(Here are some animals that God says are unclean, but mankind has deemed okay to eat that have paws, and they are: cats, dogs, squirrel, rabbits, possum, and coon. Let’s continue.))

KJV Leviticus 11:29
29. These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind,

(Here are some animals that God says are unclean, but mankind has deemed okay to eat among the creeping things: weasel, mouse(rats), and tortoise(turtle). Let’s continue.)

KJV Leviticus 11:42
42. Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

(Here are some creeping things that God says is abomination, but mankind has deemed okay to eat among the creeping things: snakes and worms).

KJV Leviticus 11:43-44
43. Ye shall not make your selves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.
44. For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

((Verse 43: The Lord tells us that, if we decide to eat swine flesh (pig), catfish, shrimp, lobster, crab, oyster, clam, cats, dogs, squirrel, rabbits, possum, and coon, weasel, mouse, turtle, snake, worm etc. We make ourselves abominable, unclean, and defiled. Verse 44: He tells us to sanctify ourselves, and be holy, cause he is holy.))

Sanctify means: to set apart persons or things for God

((So when a person refuse to eat swine flesh (pig), catfish, shrimp, lobster, oyster, clam, cats, dogs, squirrel, rabbits, possum, and coon, weasel, mouse, turtle, snake, worm etc, he or she becomes holy and set apart from the world for God. This is one of many laws a servant of God is supposed to live by and is identified by.))

KJV Psalms 119:1
1. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

((We are blessed by keeping the law of the Lord, even the dietary law, because we refuse to be defiled by the unclean creeping thing and beast.))

1 Peter 1:15-17 (King James Version)
15. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

((So…even Peter, after Jesus death and resurrection is reiterating and encouraging us to be holy, just as the Lord encouraged us to be holy back there in the Old Testament.))

17. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

((The Father has no respect of persons, as well as Jesus, he judgeth according to every man’s work, including women, because she is of man. He judgeth our works, and we should strive to maintain good works, and fear is the key. Let’s continue.))

KJV Romans 2:11-13
11. For there is no respect of persons with God.
12. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13. (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

((All mankind will have the opportunity to serve God. If we refuse to understand his laws, and still continue to sin, we’re gonna perish(suffer the second death), even without keeping law. Second, for us who understand the law, yet reject, we’re gonna be judged by the law. We not only have to hear, we have to do it. You know, we might have found ourselves using this quote, “I’ll believe it, when I see it.” The Lord deal with us according to that quote at all times.))

KJV 2 Chronicles 19:7
7. Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

((No respect of persons, nor taking of gifts. Basically, he’s not gonna respect(favor) the rich more than the poor, or respect(favor) the poor more than the rich. Equal judgment. He’s not gonna take any bribes, gifts, or money in exchange for eternal life. No purgatory. Purgatory defined -(theology) in Roman Catholic theology the place where those who have died in a state of grace undergo limited torment to correct their sins. If we happen to die before Jesus second coming, whatever we died with, it’s what we’re gonna be raised from the dead with.))

Colossians 3: 25
25. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

((Here are some more animals that make us abominable, if we eat them, and several creeping things we may eat.))

KJV Leviticus 11:13-24
13. And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14. And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
15. Every raven after his kind;
16. And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
17. And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18. And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
19. And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
20. All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
21. Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
22. Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
23. But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
24. And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.

KJV Leviticus 11:30-31 (These are more unclean animals)
30. And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.
31. These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.

KJV Leviticus 11:46-47
46. This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:
47. To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

((The creator has it all laid out for us. Basically, the only thing we can eat that live in the waters, is fish, any fish that has fins and scales together, for instance: perch, bass, salmon, cod(whiting, pollack), flounder, tuna, pike, tilapia, trout, ect.))

The Israel of God Bible Study Class has a page listing clean fish, click link below:

http://www.theisraelofgodrc.com/FishPoultryList.html

(( As far as the beast of the earth, it’s been written what we can eat, that is clean. Let’s take a look at some animals that King Solomon enjoyed.))

1 Kings 4: 22-23
22. And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23. Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

Clean Beasts: Antelope, Beef (Domesticated Cattle), Buffalo, Deer, Goat, Lamb, Roebuck and Sheep.

((Now let’s look at the Fowls of the air.))

Psalm 78: 27-29
27. He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:
28. And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.
29. So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire.

((Clean Fowls: Chicken, Dove, Peafowl, Pheasant, Pigeon, Quail and Turkey.))

((Let us look at who will be saved from the Lake of fire, and granted access into the Father’s Kingdom of many mansions.))

KJV Revelation 21:24-27
24. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

Note: This is the Kingdom of God, the twelve pearly gates that people desire to enter through.

26. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

(((The Word of God says that whosoever defileth or worketh abomination will not enter into the Kingdom of God because they were not written in the Lamb’s book of life. The question is, why were they not written, because they’ve worshipped other Gods, even images, statues, men, eaten swine flesh (pig), catfish, shrimp, lobster, crab, oyster, clam, cats, dogs, squirrel, rabbits, possum, and coon, weasel, mouse, turtle, snake, worm etc. The Lord told us in Revelation 21:8, that the abominable shall have their part in the Lake of Fire. He told us in Leviticus 11: 43-44 that these animals make us unclean, abominable, and defiled. Let’s look at the mindset and attitude of Jesus when he make his 2nd coming.))

KJV 2 Thessalonians 1:6-8
6. Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

((Be encouraged, don’t feel bad or waver, when you are ridiculed, talked about, set apart, and evil spoken of, because you desire and keep the laws of God. Hold fast.. Run that race.v Don’t let know man or woman discourage you from your crown of life. Life eternal, that is.))

7. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

((Keep in mind that Jesus is coming in flaming fire. This is how we know God, ref. 1 John 2: 1-7, specifically verses 3-4.))

KJV Isaiah 66:15-18, 23
15. For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.
17. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.

((He’s pretty angry. He’s coming back killing. Remember, he’s coming with all his angels, which can’t be numbered, their innumerable. Mankind can be number, there’s more angels than mankind. At the top of list of his kill sheet, is those who reject his dietary law. The dietary law is part of the gospel.))

18. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
23. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

(((Question: When have all flesh(nations) ever came to worship before the Lord on the Sabbath(the Seventh Day, which man call Saturday)? Never. So we know that this has to be when Jesus come back and take down all rulership of man and rule this earth himself. These next scriptures lets us know how the Lord feel about those who reject the dietary law.)))

KJV Isaiah 65:1-6
1. I Am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

((He has been reaching out to us all, yet many are rebellious, walking after their own thoughts, and feelings, or some other man’s thoughts, and his feelings.))

3. A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;

((Provoking him to his face continually. How? In their own mind, before they eat, praying to him, basically saying, “We are delivered to eat this abomination.” Let’s continue and found out where many of these people reside.))

4. Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

((Note: Are people that eat swine flesh, literally dwelling among graveyards? No, he’s not talking about our loved ones and strangers who have physically died. He’s talking about spiritually dead people. “Which remain among the graves(spiritually dead people), and lodge in the monuments(churches), which eat swine’s(pigs) flesh, and broth of abominable things(catfish, shrimp, lobster, crab legs, cat, dog, mouse, monkey, and etc.), in their vessels(bodies)”.

5. Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

Verse 5: These are people who call themselves servants of God and Christians. Some in unaware, and many understand exactly what their doing. This is what some people say to people who serve God and refuse to eat swine (pork) and other abominable beast. They say “Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou.” “I can pray over anything and eat it.” The Lord said that the people who eat swine’s flesh “are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day”. Can you imagine someone blowing smoke in your nose all day? If someone does that, it becomes an irritation, soon after you’ll become angry. How do you think the Lord feel? He told us how he feels in Verse 6.

6. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

Recompense means: payment in return for something done

KJV 2 Timothy 3:16-17
16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Note: All scripture. More references: Matthew 4:1-4, Deuteronomy 8:1-6

KJV Matthew 4:1-4
1. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Note: “every word,” from Genesis to Revelation

KJV Deuteronomy 8:1-6
1. All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers.
2. And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
3. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
4. Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
5. Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
6. Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

Verse 3: “every word”

((I didn’t expound on these scriptures below enough. So, I’m back again to go more in depth concerning these scriptures below:

KJV Isaiah 66:15-17
15. For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.

Note: Some might believe the Lord is gonna plead(beg) with all flesh. The meaning of the word “plead” in verse 16 is not referring to begging someone to submit. The word plead in this scripture means “contend”. A couple words related to plead are: assert and contend.

Definition of ASSERT- to state or declare positively and often forcefully or aggressively

Here are some words related to contend: battle, face off, fight, rival.

So we could easily say that, “For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead(battle, face off, fight) with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.”

17. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.

((It’s written that the people who eat the swine flesh, and the abomination(any other unclean beast), and the mouse, sanctify themselves(set apart themselves) and purify themselves(declare themselves holy) in the gardens behind one tree in the midst. Let’s find out what tree this is that they hide behind in the midst of the garden.))

Genesis 2: 16-17
16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

((Okay, this is God telling Adam, saying, of every tree of the garden he could freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it, and if he eat of it, he’ll die. Verse 17 doesn’t say that this tree is in the midst of the gardens. Let’s continue.

Genesis 3: 1-4
1. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

((The serpent, which is Satan, repeated what God told Adam, which Eve knew of as well. He heard God talking to them.))

2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

((Okay, now Eve gave us the location of the tree, it’s in the midst of the garden. She quoted what God told Adam, “Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” Is the scripture saying, Adam and Eve can literally eat fruit from a tree of knowledge of good and evil and die? Let’s continue.

4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Note: This serpent(Satan, ref. Revelation 12:9) said unto the woman(Eve), “Ye shall not surely die:”

Satan has contradict God’s word and lied. He said she wouldn’t die if she ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Let’s continue and see what she really ate.

Hosea 10:13
13. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

((Eve and Adam ate the fruit of lies. Food for thought, consumption by the mind. Let’s continue and find out who was the first to lie.))

John 8: 44
44. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

((Satan the devil, serpent, or great dragon is the tree of knowledge of good and evil, he was in the midst of the garden. Now let’s read this scripture again.))

17. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.

Those who eat pork, mouse(rats) or any abomination and justify themselves hiding behind the tree(Satan) will be consumed(killed and burnt up, forever……………….), said the Lord

(((A few examples of the Lake of fire.)))

Mark 9:47-49 (King James Version)
47. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Matthew 13:49-51 (King James Version)
49. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51. Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

Isaiah 66: 24
24. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

((The majority of us can’t take a feather being brushed across the back of our neck. Can you imagine, worms covering your whole body, and eating on your body while you burn forever and not be consumed. It’s like your body would be regenerating forever so that you can burn and be eating by worms. Will Satan be torturing, pitch forking and tormenting those in the Lake of Fire? Let’s continue and see.))

Matthew 25: 41
41. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

(((Naw…Satan will not be torturing and pitch forking anyone in Hell. He’s gonna be burning and getting eating on by worms as well, along with whoever else that find themselves in there. So…don’t stand behind that cat(Satan), he’s destine to burn. His and the other evil angels judgement has already been called. We must stand on the truth, the Word(Jesus, ref. Revelations 19: 11-16)))

We got to fight, for our right, to par………ty… in the Father’s Kingdom, so that we wont have to suffer the Lake of Fire. Be strong and courageous!

Here are some scriptures that are mis-used, misunderstood and/or twisted(manipulated) to validate eating unclean meats.

KJV Genesis 1:21
21. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

((Okay, God created everything, the whales, the fish, the octopus, the lobster, the crawfish, the crabs, the jellyfish, etc., and they’re all deemed good. Let’s continue.))

KJV Genesis 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Note: God created all creatures that live in the waters and every beast of the earth after his kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth and God saw that all was good. He didn’t say they all were good to eat, just good. They were created for their purpose. Let’s continue, and read some other scriptures that are being mis-used to destroy the dietary law.

KJV Mark 7:14-23
14. And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
15. There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

((Is Jesus saying that there aren’t any meats that enter into a man, that can defile him? It doesn’t say that. Let’s continue.))

16. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17. And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18. And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

((It’s written in the dietary law what type of flesh of animals is considered unclean and defiles those who eat it. So…Jesus is talking about something else.))

19. Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

((Meats don’t enter into our heart(mind) and defile us. Meats enter into our belly. What enters into our heart(mind) and defile us? Words(lies, evil thoughts, anything contrary to the truth). Evil starts from within, mentally, when it comes out, it defiles us. When we eat food, it doesn’t enter into our mind giving us knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of good, and evil. Food goes into the belly.))

Note: If we stop reading at verse 19, it would be easy for us to draw a conclusion that says this parable is all together saying that there is no meat that can defile man. Is that a fact, let’s continue.

20. And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22. Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23. All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

(((Referring to Verse 15 and 21: In order to know evil, we have to have been taught what is evil, when we understand it, it enters into our minds. “Out of the heart of man, proceed evil thoughts” or you can say “Out of the mind of man proceed evil thoughts adulteries, fornications, murders, etc”. A person is not defiled just by knowing how to commit evil. We all have knowledge of some evil that we’ve done in the past that we’ve hopefully stop doing. Remember, it’s in our mind, and all evil things come from within and when they come out or when we act upon them, then we become defiled. He’s not talking about meat. Let’s read some other scriptures that are mis-used to destroy the dietary law.)))

KJV Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

((Paul is telling the saints at Colosse not to let men therefore judge them in meat, saying what is okay to eat, and what’s not okay. God’s word told them what’s clean and unclean(ref. Leviticus chpt.11). Paul is also saying to the saints at Colosse, to not let people judge them in respect of an holyday, new moon, or sabbath days. God has set in order and commanded what days they should keep, they’re written in Leviticus ch. 23. The seven annual High Sabbath Days are also called Feast Days. The unlearned, and knowingly people of deception teach and tell people, “Those sabbaths and Holydays are for the Jews, not for us Christians.” They speak in error. These holydays are for all mankind, he just gave them to the Israelites first to learn, so therefore they could later teach all other nations how to observe them. Even in these days, many pastors, and other people teach people that those who drink liquor, alcohol, and/or wine are sinners, yet it’s not written in the bible. Let us let God’s word decide what a sinner consist of, not man. Let’s continue and read some other scriptures that are mis-used to destroy the Dietary Law.))

1 Timothy 4: 1-3
1. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

((Keep in mind, in order to depart from the faith, a person must know of the truth and are practicing it. Note: When a person turn from the truth unto any other faith, they’ve giving heed to seducing spirits(evil spirits), and doctrines of devils.))

2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

((“Having their conscience seared with a hot iron,” is basically saying: a person having a totally closed mind, not allowing themselves to be persuaded by anything, even when it’s the truth, having no reason about anything, even when certain things makes sense, totally contrary. Brain burnt out.))

3. Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

(((Does God command to abstain from married? No. Does God commands to abstain from certain meats? Yes, but this organization is forbidding both married and meats, so this can’t be the true churches of God(Jesus). What organization upon this earth is Verse 3 referring to, that forbids marriage to those who want to work in the Church and devote most or all of their time to the will of God? The Roman Catholic Church. Also, they command their followers to abstain from certain meats during certain times. Let’s continue.)))

The Roman Catholic Church believes that all people are obliged by God to perform some penance. Penance is, strictly, repentance of sins as well as the actual name of the Catholic Sacrament of Penance and reconciliation/Confession…. for their sins, and that these acts of penance are both personal and corporate. The Catholic Church requires Catholics to perform some specific acts of penance, which includes fasting and abstaining at times each year, especially during Lent.

In Western Christianity, Lent is the period from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday….

Eastern practice: To fast customarily means to only eat one meal during the day, and to avoid animal products. Fasting is viewed as one part of repentance and supporting a spiritual change of heart. Eastern Christians observe two major times of fasting, the “Great Fast” before Easter, and “Phillip’s Fast” before the Nativity.

During the Great Fast, meat, eggs, dairy products, fish and oil are avoided.

The fast period before Christmas is called “Phillip’s Fast” because it begins after the feast day of St. Phillip. Specific practices vary, but on some days during the week meat, dairy products and (in some countries) oil are avoided, while on other days there is no restriction. During approximately the last week before the Nativity, typically meat, dairy, eggs and oil are avoided on all days, meals are moderate in quantity, and no food is taken between meals (“Philip’s”).

KJV 1 Timothy 4:4-5
4. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5. For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

((Yes, every creature of God is good, but did the word of God say, good to eat. No. Every creature is good and sanctified(set apart) by the word and prayer for it’s purpose, and not all for eating.))

Additional scriptures mis-used to destroy the dietary law of God.

KJV Acts 10:9-28
1. There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

(((Cornelius the Italian, is a gentile man by ancestry, or commonly called in these modern times “a white man.” Ref. Genesis 10:1-5)))

2. A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

((Cornelius feared the same God that the Hebrew Israelites(the prophets and apostles, commonly referred to as the “Jews”) feared, and that God was the God of Israel, even his whole household as well.))

3. He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

((God had an ear for him, and God sent an Holy angel unto him to give him instruction and direction.))

4. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
5. And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:

((The angel was capable of telling Cornelius everything he needed to know and do according to the will of God, yet he sent him unto an informed God-fearing Hebrew Israelite, by the name of Peter. It’s the protocol, God’s protocol. I’ll get off into that more, later. Let’s continue.))

9. On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10. And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11. And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12. Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

Note: Keep in mind that Jesus has died, and has been resurrected into heaven, and Peter is still keeping the dietary law Leviticus chpt.11.

15. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

((If people stop reading at verse 16, they would think Jesus is telling Peter that now it’s okay for him to eat any beast, wild beast, creeping thing, or fowl. Let’s continue to see if that’s true.))

17. Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,
18. And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
19. While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

(((Okay, Peter is still trying to figure out what the Lord is trying to tell him in this vision, and immediately the Spirit(Holy Angel) started to direct Peter on what he should do.)))

20. Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

(((Okay, the Lord sent these 3 men to Peter. The Spirit is encouraging him to go with them.)))

21. Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
22. And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

(((So…, Jesus from heaven after his death and resurrection sent an holy angel unto Cornelius, to tell him to get ahold of Peter, so that he could hear his words. Some might say, “What does Peter and Cornelius have to do with those visions of the unclean fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air?” Let’s continue.)))

23. Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
24. And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

((Okay, Cornelius is not alone, he has his kinsmen(relatives), and friends with him.))

25. And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
26. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

(((Peter didn’t let this man worship him, he said, “Stand up, I myself also am a man.” A man of God will not allow another man to worship him, bow down before him, or kiss his ring(hint, hint, “What man in a widely known Religious organization does this?, ref. Revelation 19: 10, 22:9)

27. And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
28. And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

((God was not trying to get Peter to eat unclean meat; he was trying to get him to understand that now, salvation shall be taught to the Gentiles(white people). The fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air that was in the vision while he was in a trance represented other nationalities of the earth that didn’t serve the God of Israel. Other nationalities weren’t serving the God of Israel, nor keeping his laws, commandments, statues, and judgments. Why was it unlawful for a Jew to keep company or come unto one of another nation before this incident? This is why, let’s continue reading.))

KJV Matthew 10:5-6
5. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

((Before Jesus died on the cross, he commanded them not to go unto the Gentiles. Why? The reason is, because they had to go unto their brethren(the lost sheep of the house of Israel) to teach them about Jesus first and whatever else they didn’t understand, so that they would be fully equipped to teach all other nations(nationalities) how to worship and honour the Father in the name of Jesus in truth.

Until again,

Grace and Peace
