An answer from God –
Ezekiel 1:4-12
4. And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
5. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
6. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
7. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
8. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
9. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
***How amazing. The Lord created each angel with four faces, while standing in one spot, that angel is looking in all directions: north, south, east, west, not even having to turn, they just go. Let’s continue.
10. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
11. Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
12. And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
((Yes, some are small, and they all have wings. For instance, in Genesis 19: 1-3, two angels came to Lot to give him a message from God, they were small enough to enter into his house.
Genesis 19:1-3
1. And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2. And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3. And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
((Angels are able to eat bread as well.))
Some angels are huge and tall, check this angel out in Revelation 10: 1-2.
Revelation 10:1-2
1. And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2. And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
((As far as their wings, some have two sets of wings and others have 3 sets of wings, not one set, like the majority of us have been taught while growing up. God calls angels: Cherubim(4 wings) or Seraphim(six wings).
Ezekiel 10:20-22
20. This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.
21. Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
22. And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
Isaiah 6:2 (King James Version)
2. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
Also you’ve might have seen some pictures or art work with naked babies and men flying around with wings on their back, it’s not true according to scriptures. It’s written in scripture how angels look and maneuver.
