Where do people go when they die: heaven, hell, or the grave?

First of all, the majority of us know or have heard and believed that all people will stand before God at Judgement Day. Also we’ve believed that Judgement Day will not begin until the end, the end of mankind. I ask you this question: How is it that, anyone, who was born of a woman, and have died has been placed in hell, or has been granted access to heaven, if heaven is the place to be for the righteousness if the end is not here? That’s contradiction. We also know that, physically, when someone dies, their body is going into the grave, or cremated back to dust, it’s all the same, eventually that body is gonna turn into dust over time, if not cremated. Cremation is just an instant process of the body being return back to it’s original state, dust. Many of us also have heard of a spirit leaving the body when it dies. Is that spirit, the inner person that’s living within the body? What about the soul, is it inside the body with the spirit, and when the body dies, they both exit the body and go there separate ways? These are some serious questions. Confusion, and misunderstanding can set in, if this isn’t sorted out, and understood. Let’s take a look at man’s beginning, Adam’s creation, and what he was made out of, and what allowed him to be mobile or alive.

KJV Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Note: Mankind consists of two things:
1. The dust of the ground(the body)
2. The breath of life(the air we breathe)

(((So before God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, it was just a body there. Then God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. So this flesh, every organ, and other parts that make up this body we have, are considered our soul. What made him alive? Your answer: The breath of life, which God breathe into his nostrils. Then he became a living soul. So..what was he before a living soul? What’s the opposite of living soul? Dead soul or dead body. What happens today if someone stop breathing right now? Are they living? No. So… what does that body become? A dead body. When God created Adam, did God breathe the breath of life into him, and put a soul into him. No.  All we see here, is the breath.  Let’s look further into what the soul is.

 What about the soul?

Ezekiel 18: 20
20. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

((The majority of us have been told that the soul leaves the body when the body dies, yet the word of God is says that the soul that sinneth or commit inquity, it shall die. Ever since Adam sinned, we have been dying.))

Psalm 89:48
48. What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

One exception is Enoch, he never died (ref. Genesis 5:24, Hebrews 11:5). Other than that, all have died. God’s word is basically saying, “What man can deliver his soul from the hand of the grave.” At a funeral, “What do we physically see that’s put in the grave?” A body. So..we can plainly say, “What man can deliver his body(soul) from the grave?” Let’s look a Jesus death.

Hebrews 10:10
10. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

((Okay, we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ. Let’s look at the Prophet Isaiah prophesy Jesus death before he was even born.))

Isaiah 53:10
10. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

((Again, we see that the soul and body is one and the same. What about the spirit? Let’s take a look. We’re going to look at what happened to these two guys that will be prophesying the truth during the Great Tribulation.)))

What about the spirit?

Revelations 11: 3, 6-9, 11
3. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

((Okay, these are two men of God prophesing for the whole 3 ½(1,260 days) years of Great Tribulation))

6. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

((Now, they’ve been killed after they finished their testimony.))

8. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

((The people who delighted not in the truth, and the prophesing of these guys didn’t even put these guys in the grave. They suffer their dead bodies to just lay in the street for 3 ½ days. Let’s continue and see what happens after 3 ½ days.

11. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

((Okay, 3 and an half days later, “the” spirit of life from God entered into them. The word, “the” is singular. If these two guys, individually had their own personal spirit that left their body when they died, the word of God would have said “their” Spirit of life from God entered into them. Keep in mind that this Spirit came from God. Did God send a spiritual being into them to make them alive again? If that’s the case this singular spirit being must have broke off into two parts before entering them huh? Well, we’ll see. Let’s take a look.

Ecclesiastes 12:7
7. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

So..Solomon, whom the Lord made the most wise man upon the earth spoke about the the same thing John spoke of in Revelation, concerning the dead. The dust shall return to the earth as it was. Remember, God created man from the dust of the earth. The spirit shall return unto God who gave it. What is this spirit? Is it an inner person? Let’s see.

Job 27:3-4
3. All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
4. The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

((Okay, Job mentioned that, while the breath is in me and the spirit of God is in my nostrils, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Note: The, I repeat, “The” spirit of God,  is in his nostrils, God’s spirit, which is the breath of life is in his nostrils. The word “spirit” is also used interchangeably with “breath,” within scriptures. They both can mean the same, depending upon what context and situation it’s used in. Let’s go back to the beginning to read what what God said unto Adam once he sinned against God.))

Genesis 3:19
19. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

((Note: Moses was inspired by God in writing the first 5 books of the bible. It looks like God, Moses, Solomon, and John are on one accord, concerning the dead. They are all saying that “from dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Let’s look at Job again concerning this.))

Job 34:14-15
14. If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
15. All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

Except Jesus, has anyone else ascended to Heaven? or
Has anyone that have died, been placed in Hell?

Let’s begin, by reading this:

KJV 2 Chronicles 34:26-28
26. And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the Lord, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast heard;
27. Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the Lord.
28. Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again.

Note: In verse 28, this King will be gather to his fathers. The King will gathered his grave. If he’s going to the grave, where are his fathers? In the grave also. Whether his fathers lived by righteousness or wickedness all of them are in the grave because the scripture just said, fathers, yet he’s going to live the rest of his days in peace before he go to the grave. God said his eyes shall not see all the evil that he will bring upon that place. You know the common saying that’s mention by people that are unlearned when such and such die. For instance, people will say, “I know good sister Carmen or brother Ricky is watching over me looking down from heaven, he or she will guide me or I should better watch out for that wicked Jeff because he was angry at me when he died, he’s going to come back from the dead and haunt me. First of all, those that are in the grave can’t see, so how can they watch over you or haunt anyone. Second, the 1st resurrection and judgement has not occurred, so.. who is that can do anything that are still the grave? None, not one. Let’s continue.

KJV Ecclesiastes 9:2-6, 10
2. All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

((What event is this, that the righteousness and the evil get to experience? Let’s continue.))

3. This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

((Mankind is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, after that they go to the dead. Wait a minute, while growing up all throughout my elementary and high school years, I was told that people die and go to heaven or hell immediately. The word of God says that they go to the dead. What dead? The graveyard, that’s where the dead is at. The scripture didn’t say, “go to the living”, for instance: heaven, where the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Angels are at. Let’s continue.))

4. For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

((Yeah. While you are joined to the living there is hope, because you still have a concience, your able to think, you are breathing. No matter how strong a lion is, and how big he is, if he die, he’s nothing compared to living dog. The lion is no more, gone, no power.))

5. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

((The living is aware, but the dead peoples memory is forgotten, so how could they look down from heaven and find you when they have a conscienceless mind, no memory of you, anyone else, or anything, just blank, just as when us living are are sleep without dreaming. All type of stuff can go on around us and we have no clue, for instance: storms, someone knocking on the door, even when we are sleeping so…hard, we don’t even hear the phone ring. That’s what a dead person becomes. No disturbance, until the resurrection of God.

6. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

((If there’s no memory, none of these attributes(love, hatred, and envy) are there as well. There are many false preachers promoting that the dead is looking down on people from heaven and haunting people after dying. Also, there have been many movies made that are promoting this false perception worldwide contributing to the untrue understanding of what really is. All these misconceptions have been embedded in our heads from generation to generation. Let’s continue.))

10. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

((That’s self explanatory. Plain. Let’s take a look at Christ’s resurrection.))

KJV 1 Corinthians 15:20,22-23
20. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

((Basically, Christ is the firstfruits or first one of mankind that haved died(slept) and was resurrected with eternal life. If Jesus is the first one to inherit eternal from among mankind, where is are all the dead people that died before, and all the people that have died after him, even up until now? Let’s find out.))

22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Note: The word of God says that, no one will get eternal life by the resurrection, whether dead or alive until Jesus make his second coming. Has Jesus made his 2nd coming yet? Let’s continue.

KJV John 3:13
13. And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

(((Verse 13: Keep in mind, this is Jesus)))

KJV Ephesians 4:8-10
8. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

(((Verse 10: he ascended up far above all heavens, heavens is plural. So there is more than one heaven. Let’s continue.)))

KJV Nehemiah 9:6
6. Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

(((The word of God says that there are 3 heavens.)))

KJV 2 Corinthians 12:1-4
1. It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
2. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4. How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

(((Jesus, he was caught up to the third heaven, where paradise is. Do the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Angels dwell there alone or Are the saints who died with them also? Let’s continue.)))

KJV John 6:46
46. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

(((Jesus is of God, he is the only one who have died and ascended up to the 3rd heaven were paradise is according to John 3:13. Let’s take a look at the Patriach David, a man after God’s own heart.)))

KJV 1 Kings 2:10
10. So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

KJV Acts 2:29
29. Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

(((David is still dead, because Peter, hundreds of years later spoke about David. He said that “he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.” He didn’t say that “his body is in the grave, but he’s in heaven, the Lake of fire, or roaming the earth.” All of David is in the grave, because the 1st resurrection and Judgement Day has not come yet. So where are all others that have died, except Jesus? In the grave also.

Grace and Peace
