Who was the cause of us dying today, was it Adam or Eve?

Let’s take a look into the Bible to find out who was the cause.

KJV Genesis 2:8-9
8. And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

((Okay, God has giving Adam access to physical food that we consume by the mouth, and also there was spiritual food available to him as well, which can be gotten from the tree of life and/or the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Let’s continue.))

KJV Genesis 2:16-17
16. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

((Adam knew he would die, if he ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Let’s continue.))

KJV Genesis 3:1
1. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Subtil means- cunning, crafty, clever, trickery. In verse 1, this serpent whose conversing with Eve has other titles that he’s known by, let’s find out what they are.

KJV Revelation 12:7-9
7. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8. And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

(((This serpent(Satan) and his angels which he persuaded to follow him were cast out of heaven unto the earth before Adam and Eve were even created. Satan is the serpent, known as the Devil and the dragon. Now let’s read about Eve’s encounter with the serpent(Satan) in the garden of Eden.)))

KJV Genesis 3:2-6
2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Note: Eve understood and quoted to the serpent exactly what God commanded her and Adam not to do.

4 . And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

((The serpent, called Satan, lied, reversed, and contradicted the truth that she believed at first. Satan said, “Ye shall not surely die.” Then after he lied, he told her some truth. Let’s continue.))

5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Note: Satan immediately told the truth after he lied. This is what Satan and his ministers do, they mix the truth with lies(their own words, their own opinions, and their own desires or feelings). Yes, if we eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, our eyes shall be open, and we’ll be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

((Eve was so.. excited about being like God, and being wise, she ate the fruit, all the fruit, lies and all, and then gave it unto Adam and he ate. What did the fruit consist of: a lie, “ye shall not surely die” and some truth “ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil?” Was this fruit an apple like what most of us have been taught all of our lives? Let’s find out.))

KJV Hosea 10:13
13. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

Note: No, it wasn’t an apple or any physical fruit; it was the fruit of lies. The serpent called Satan, the Devil, or the dragon is “the knowledge of good and evil.” I’m not sure if you have heard the saying, “Food for Thought.” Basically, someone giving you something to read or telling you something to mediate on or think about. Just like we consume food by the mouth. We consume knowledge and understanding by being told or reading something. We consume knowledge by hearing or reading, even seeing. Check out this next scripture concerning Jeremiah eating the words of God, not by the mouth, but by the sight of the eyes.

KJV Jeremiah 15:16
16. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

((Okay, God’s word was found, and he did eat them, and it was a rejoicing of his heart, which is his mind, because he understood it, and that’s where the word of God dwell, in the mind(heart). Okay, back to what happen after Adam and Eve ate the lies of the serpent(Satan).

KJV Genesis 3:7, 9-13
7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

9. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Note: The Lord called Adam, wanting to know where he was. Adam heard him and was afraid and hid himself because he was naked. All of us have experienced this, when we know we’re sinning or doing wrong, and we see someone coming to our direction to catch us or when we get caught, we hide, lie, and/or try to cover it up.

11. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

((Okay, before they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they were not ashamed of being naked, because they didn’t know that they were naked. The serpent(Satan) told them that they were naked.))

12. And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

((The Lord asked Adam a direct question. He responded, hiding behind the woman, like she forced fed him them lies. It hasn’t changed much these days. Men.., we got some work to do, or some work to keep up.))

13. And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

(((The serpent persuaded her. Beguile means- to deceive, lure, to cause to vanish unnoticed and divert.)))

This is what Adam could have done, after his wife Eve brought to him that lie.

These next scriptures are pertaining to women making vows in their Father’s house in their youth and making vows when they have an husband.

Numbers 30:3-8
3. If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth;
4. And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

((If her father hears her vow, and holds his peace, her vow will stand(be active).

5. But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.

((If her father hears her vow, but disallow(refuse or forbid) her vow, she can be recovered by being forgiving by the Lord.))

6. And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
7. And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

((If she have an husband and he hears her vow and hold his peace, it shall stand. Adam is our first example of the head of the household, holding his peace, not saying anything, knowing the consequences of going along with it. The consequence of death. Because of him not standing up for the truth, we’re dying now. The first man killed his family(the whole world)physically. We have to be different men. If we hold our peace like Adam did, there’s another death waiting and it’s spiritual. Note: this other death, last forever………………

((This is what would have happened if Adam had not accepted them lies from his wife Eve.))

8. But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her.

((This physical death wouldn’t even be in existence, nothing would have died from the creation, humans or animals(beast or creatures of the waters). If he’d disallowed her vow, what Satan deceived her with, would have had none effect.))

What happened after Adam ate of them lies, whom he received from his wife, which she got from the tree of knowledge of good and evil(Satan)?

Your answer: Mankind became, mortal and started to die that same day. Some might say “he didn’t die that same day.” Let’s find out what one day to God consists of.

KJV 2 Peter 3:8
8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

KJV Psalms 90:4
4. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Note: The oldest man that has ever lived is Methuselah. Let us find out how long he lived.

KJV Genesis 5:27
27. And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

((Methuselah didn’t live past a full day (1,000 years), and he’s the oldest man we have record of from scripture. So Adam and everyone else died also before a full day(1,000 years), after being born. The Lord started to decrease mankind’s years of life upon this earth. Let’s continue.))

KJV Genesis 6:3
3. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Question: Man years of life went from the approximate 300’s up to the 900’s, down to the 120’s. What spirit is the Lord talking about? Let’s take a look.

KJV John 6:63
63. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

((God’s word shall not always strive with man. God decided to cut man years down again. Let’s look at it.))

KJV Psalm 90:9-10
9. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
10. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Threescore = 60, 60+10 = 70 and if by reason of strength(health) fourscore years, fourscore = 80

There are a few people that live up to 100 years, or a little past 100 years. Most of the time, people don’t exceed pass 120 years. Look back and around today, the majority of the people we’ve known have died between the ages of 50 up to 80 years old.

So..we can plainly say, with proof, that Adam was the reason for us dying today.
