Why wasn’t the son of God(Jesus) named Jehovah(his Old Testament name) when he was born of Mary? What is God the Father’s name?

I did some research on the name Yahweh. This is what I’ve come up with. The Translation for Yahweh are these: YHVH, Jehovah, Jahweh, or Jah

Psalm 68: 4, 8
4. Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
8. The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

Okay, Jah or Jehovah is the God of Israel. Who is the God of Israel?

Is it The Father or Who we know now as the son, Jesus?

Which one? Let’s continue.

1 Corinthians 10: 1-5
1. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2. And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3. And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4. And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

(((Apostle Paul mentions that, that was Jesus the Christ back there with Moses, yet he had not taking upon the name Jesus. He was known as the God of Israel, Jah, Jehovah, in Hebrew- Jahweh, Yahweh, ect…)))

Luke 1:26-31(King James Version)
26. And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
30. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

**Note: Keep in mind, that this is God the Father which sent Gabriel(an Holy angel) unto Mary. To say or do what though, let’s continue?

31. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

(((So the Father sent Gabriel with a message to deliver unto Mary things which will come to pass, particularly her bringing forth a son, and calling his name Jesus. Let’s confirm that the Father commanded Mary to call her first born Jesus.)))

Philippians 2:9-10
9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

(((Okay, these scriptures confirm that the Father gave him that name. The next questions are, “How did the name Jesus come about, and why did the Father, name him Jesus?” Let us let the word of God answer that question.)))

John 5:43(King James Version)
43. I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

(((Jesus out of his own mouth says, ”I am come in my Father’s name, etc.” Okay, in the prior scriptures, the word confirmed that, who we know now as the son of God, didn’t have the name Jesus before being born of Mary, but had the name Jehovah. We read that the son of God came in the name of Jesus. Well… if Jehovah(God) became the son of God and took upon the name Jesus once born, and later in his adult life mentioned he came in his Father’s name, Question: What is his Father’s name then? It’s Jesus. The next question is, ”Why didn’t he come in his own name, Jehovah?” Let us let the Bible answer that question.)))

John 8:50
50. And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

(((Jesus says he seek not his own glory. Note: If he sought his own glory, he would have came in his previous name Jehovah and not the Fathers name, which is Jesus. The son of God, Jesus, mentions numerous times who he came to glorify. Let’s continue.)))

John 17:3-4, 6
3. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

(((The Son of God states that he glorified the Father on earth. The next question is, “How?” Let’s continue.)))

6. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

(((He glorified the Father by manifesting the Father’s name, which is Jesus. Why is the name Jesus so important? Let’s continue)))

Acts 4: 10, 12
10. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
12. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

(((There’s only one route unto salvation(being saved), that’s by the name Jesus, whom the son of God and the Father is called by. Amongst Christians, there has been most of the time 2 different quotes that are pronounced over people before being dipped( baptized) in water. The first one is…this next scripture.)))

Matthew 28:19(King James Version)
19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

(((Jesus made that statement unto his disciples, saying, “teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” This statement, “We baptize you in the name of the Father, the son, and the Holy Ghost for the remission of sins,” is literally pronounced over many people before being baptized, yet Jesus said, baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Previous scripts let us know that the Father’s name is Jesus, the son’s name is Jesus, yet we haven’t defined the Holy Ghost. Let’s do that.)))

John 14:26 (King James Version)
26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

(((Jesus made this statement, he said, “the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,” this Holy Ghost will be sent in Jesus name, so this individual(Holy Ghost) is not representing himself, he’s representing Jesus, teaching and bringing to remembrance whatsoever Jesus has said unto his servants. Another name for this Comforter/Holy Ghost is in the next scripture.)))

John 15:26
26. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

(((The Spirit of Truth is the Comforter and sometimes called the Holy Ghost(Holy Angel or Holy Spirit). The next script defines more of the duties of the Holy Ghost.)))

John 16:13-14
13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

(((Keep in mind that he shall not speak of himself, only what he shall hear, he will show the servants of God things to come. To sum this up, the Comforter is the Holy Ghost(Holy Angel), which is a spiritual being that delivers the truth unto the servants of God(for an example on how the Holy Ghost operated in the past, read this, Luke 1: 26-28, 30-32). Although the Comforter/Spirit of Truth has his own name, he’s sent in the name of Jesus. Take a look at this.

14. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

(((The Spirit of truth glorifies Jesus, by coming in the name of Jesus. Okay, back to the baptism. The 2nd quote that is pronounced over people before being dipped( baptized) in water is this.)))

Acts 2:38
38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

(((Peter made this statement unto the Israelites “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,” Is not this different than what Jesus mentioned in Matthew 28: 19(baptize them in the name of the Father, the son, and the Holy Ghost). Peter understood that the Father’s name is Jesus, the son’s name is Jesus, and the Holy Ghost(Holy Angel) is sent in Jesus name, not his own. Therefore, Peter did what Jesus mentioned in Matthew 28: 19. A sufficient baptism must be done like Peter mentioned in Acts 2: 38. Jesus name has to be said, not “we baptized you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.)))

Until again,

Grace and Peace
